Charles Widmore told John Locke that a war would take place on the island, and that if John didn't return, the wrong side was going to win. We're still a little unclear on who — and when — the sides will be (Hostiles vs. Dharma; Oceanic 6 vs. creepy Ajira survivors; Smokey vs. everyone), but it's clear that tensions are mounting all over, and will probably culminate in at least one shocking season-ending death. Other intriguing tidbits: The finale will introduce us to Jacob, the island's spiritual leader, and we'll see a wedding that takes place off-island. Thump!
Season 5, Episodes 16 and 17 will be the final experiment to prove if the future can be changed or not. Even if the future isn’t changed and Lost defends the “Whatever happened, happened” principle they’ve made all year, there is really no way to know where they could go after that. Jack Bender directed Lost Season 5 Finale and Damon Lindelof together with Carlton Cuse wrote the script.
LOST will be back with its last Season, LOST Season 6. After whatever happens in Season 5 Episode 16-17, fans will have to wait until May 2010 for Season 6. Lost Season 6 will consist of seventeen episodes.
